Linde’s safety culture is framed by Group regulations. All employees are obliged to observe safety regulations, assuming responsibility for their personal safety and the collective safety of the team.
Training for employees
We place great importance on safety training for our staff. This includes both classroom, on the job and computer- based training, covering areas such as hazards communication, confined space assessment and risk management. Employees also undergo the behavioural safety programme to reinforce the importance of thinking and acting safely at all times to keep themselves and those around them safe, and engaging their colleagues and vendors to do likewise.
Safety as a management task
To keep accidents to a minimum, managers are expected to demonstrate visible leadership, that is to lead by example. They are also obliged to facilitate safety discussions.
To ensure safety at our plant, Linde Bangladesh Limited has developed specific rules and guidelines for contractors, visitors and employees from partner companies.
These partner employees are additionally bound by our safety and environmental guidelines and are a standard element of all Linde contracts.
